Description

"Portrait making techniques" - "Tehnici de realizare a portretului"

The book is part of the Little Workshop collection. Starting from the fact that the most important feature of creating a portrait is the reciprocal relationship between the artist and his model, this book is intended as a guide for those who want to start drawing portraits.

Step by step, the reader is informed which are the working materials necessary to create a portrait and how they are used, what is the role of sketches and what is the provision of the conditions for drawing the portrait.

Notions of artistic anatomy are then presented, having the role of bringing to the attention of the reader the proportions of the human face, the particularities of age, gradually reaching the initiation of the working techniques specific to the portrait: charcoal, pastel pencils, oil.

A special chapter is reserved for the creation and use of passports, as well as the signing of works.

The book ends with a chapter dedicated to the plastic analysis of the completed works, which reveals to the aspiring portraitist how to realistically and constructively self-evaluate his work, respectively with a small dictionary of terms specific to the art of portraiture.
